JLim Diamonds began with a family legacy that crossed continents.
It all started with my brother-in-law and my sister, who were based in Hong Kong and Tokyo. My brother-in-law is part of the third generation doing the diamond business in his family to enter the diamond trading industry in Antwerp, Belgium — a craft he has dedicated himself to for many years. He began with natural and fancy coloured diamonds, building deep expertise and trusted relationships in the global market. Over the years, these relationships extended across key diamond hubs, with supplies sourced from Mumbai, Hong Kong, and Antwerp.
During my frequent holidays to Hong Kong, I was always fascinated by the world of diamonds and fine jewellery. Each visit felt like stepping into a world of brilliance. One day, he invited me to bring this legacy to New Zealand — to start my own journey in diamond trading.
Without hesitation, I said yes.
I began studying diamonds, learning everything I could about their beauty, value, and craftsmanship. What started as fascination grew into passion, and that passion became JLim Diamonds — a brand built on family heritage, trust, and a commitment to offering both natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as custom luxury pieces.
